Scient’x USA Announces Appointment of Federico P. Girardi, M.D. to Scientific Advisory Board

MAITLAND, Fla., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Scient'x USA, manufacturer of innovative spinal implant technologies, today announced that Federico P. Girardi, M.D. will be joining their Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Federico Girardi is an Assistant Attending Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and also serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at the Weil Medical College of Cornell University.

Federico P. Girardi, M.D. completed his medical education at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Rosario, Argentina and has done extensive clinical research involving the areas of minimally invasive surgery, clinical outcomes of different surgical procedures, and imaging modalities of the spine. He is also interested in the basic science aspects of bone, disc and nerve tissue regeneration as well as the investigation of alternatives to spinal fusion for the treatment of degenerative disc disease.

Federico P. Girardi, M.D. will serve along with Antonio E. Castellvi, M.D. Peter Klara, M.D., and Robert Peroutka, M.D. on the Scient'x USA Scientific Advisory Board.
