BenOra, founded in 1982, is Phoenix's oldest breast diagnostic facility. Because Solis specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, Solis CEO Brad Hummel says merging the two businesses makes sense.
"The BenOra acquisition is an exciting extension of the Solis model into one of the fastest-growing population centers in the nation," says Hummel. "We...look forward to continuing the BenOra legacy of service to the women of greater Phoenix. Early next year we will relocate BenOra to a new, completely digital facility which has been designed around the efficiencies and benefits of digital image acquisition and transfer. The center will offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic services and will be fully integrated into the Solis radiology information system."
BenOra's leadership team, Wayne Hansen, M.D., Richard Vanesian, M.D., and Michele West, M.D., will continue as the principal physicians in the center.
Solis operates eight north central Texas facilities; the Solis-Bertrand Breast Center in Greensboro, North Carolina and Solis-BenOra Imaging in Phoenix.
