PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Medicines Company (NASDAQ:MDCO) today announced that its Board of Directors has named Dr. Fred Eshelman, founder of Eshelman Ventures LLC, an investment company focused on healthcare companies, as non-executive Chairman of The Medicines Company Board of Directors, effective immediately. Dr. Clive Meanwell will remain the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
