ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company's Albany office has been awarded a contract to serve as construction manager for a $17 million, 81,000-sq.-ft., addition and renovation project at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, N.Y. The architect is Optimus Architects of Rhinebeck, N.Y.
The 51,000-sq.-ft. addition will house a new center for emergency medicine, a state-of-the art rehabilitative therapy center, cardio-diagnostic suite, physician offices and an expanded surgical unit. The building will allow the hospital to accommodate a growing volume of patients and bring tremendous technological enhancements to them, ensuring easier access to critical healthcare services. As part of the assignment's scope of work, Turner will also oversee the renovation of 30,000-sq.-ft. of radiology, nuclear medicine and medical/surgical suites.
