IRISH health services firm United Drug yesterday filed its motion to dismiss legal action brought against it in the US by a company controlled by investment giant Blackstone. United Drug and its US subsidiary Sharp Corporation had been ordered by the judge assigned to the case in New York, Barbara Jones, to file their motion yesterday. The two companies were sued last month by a company called Catalent Pharma Solutions for unspecified damages. The case arose from comments made by United Drug chief executive Liam FitzGerald last November on conference calls with investors.
