COLUMBUS, Ohio & CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Virtis Health, an innovative, national provider dedicated to therapeutic and diagnostic services for patients with complex conditions requiring specialty infusible and injectable medications, announced today the unveiling of ambulatory infusion centers (AIC) in Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. Virtis Health is a division of Soleo Health, a national provider of complex specialty pharmacy services administered in the home or at alternate sites of care. Together, the combined service offering of both Virtis Health and Soleo Health in the Ohio market provides patients flexible site of care options to meet their individual therapy needs and service expectations in a cost-effective setting.

Both Virtis Health Columbus and Virtis Health Cleveland offer a range of therapy management services and treatments for patients with autoimmune disorders, including chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis. Both Virtis Health AICs also provide treatments for and manage patients with various inflammatory conditions, such as thyroid eye disease, Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, primary immunodeficiencies, and rare and ultra-rare diseases.

At Virtis Health Columbus, Katelyn Heilman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, was named advanced nurse practitioner. Heilman has 10+ years of experience providing critical care for both pediatrics and adults. She completed her Master of Science degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Heilman is supported by Lauren Pica, MSN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than five years of both outpatient infusion center and ICU experience.

At Virtis Health Cleveland, Katie Novak, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, was named advanced nurse practitioner. Novak will oversee patient care and has seven years of related clinical experience. She has provided care to children and young adults in the pediatric intensive care unit and critical care transport as well as worked in the allergy and immunology arena. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and completed her Master of Science degree in family practice from George Washington University in Washington D.C.

In their respective positions, Heilman, Pica and Novak manage all patient needs for Virtis Health, including administering intravenous and injectable medications and assessing and monitoring patients’ status during and post-treatment, at their respective AICs. Clinical pharmacists are also available to support both AICs, as necessary.
