Vitality Health Plan of California Receives Conditional Approval from CMS for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Product in 2019 Election Period

Vitality Health Plan of California (Vitality) announced today it received conditional approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer its Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) product to Medicare beneficiaries during the upcoming 2019 Annual Election Period.

CERRITOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vitality Health Plan of California (Vitality) announced today it received conditional approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer its Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) product to Medicare beneficiaries during the upcoming 2019 Annual Election Period. For calendar year 2019, Vitality will serve Medicare beneficiaries residing in Santa Clara County, California and San Joaquin County, California.

Vitality is committed to offering its product for a $0 monthly Part C premium, including health services not traditionally covered by Medicare, such as worldwide emergency care, additional unlimited hospital days, routine chiropractic and acupuncture visits, dental coverage, vision exam and eyewear, hearing aids, OTC, annual fitness membership, and non-emergent transportation.

Vitality is pleased to partner with Physicians Medical Group of San Jose to provide primary care and specialty medical services to members who reside in Santa Clara County. For San Joaquin County, Vitality is teaming up with Medcore Medical Group to provide primary and specialty care to members county-wide.
