XTend Medical and EvRest Sign Strategic Alliance Agreement EvRest to Assist XTend in Financing of Telemedicine Product Sales to Managed Care Companies

SUN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XTend Medical Corporation announced the company has signed a strategic alliance agreement with EvRest/MES-HPSI (“EvRest”) of the Southeast. Under the terms of the alliance, EvRest will work closely with the management of XTend to assist in their sales efforts of the Infopia telemedicine glucose meter and also aide in the financing of sales to managed care companies and other healthcare organizations.

In addition, XTend will have the opportunity to present their other telemedicine products to the long term care facilities currently under EvRest management and to develop a pharmacy operation through their partner, Boulevard Pharmacy, to potentially deliver medications to over 6,000 long term care facilities throughout the U.S. with an estimated 1.8M patients.

“We have been diligently working on this alliance agreement for several months. While we have secured several products that incorporate the Bluetooth technology, having the Infopia product through EvRest to sell to our managed care companies we’re targeting gives us the triple-play in diabetic care industry. Companies managing chronic diabetic patients need to constantly monitor the patient’s glucose level, weight, and blood pressure in order to properly monitor their well-being. This agreement gives us the final piece in order for our partners at Medical Cost Management to finalize presentations and begin the process of closing contracts for XTend,” stated Mr. Paul D. Lisenby, CEO of XTend. “In addition, EvRest manages long term care facilities in three southern states and we will have the opportunity to present our other products to these facilities for sales to their patients and to possibly develop a pharmacy component through our partnership with Boulevard Pharmacy. EvRest has also agreed to give us access to credit terms on the Infopia product so we may begin to close some of the contracts we’ve been working on over the last several months. This gives us assurance that our sales efforts will be supported and we can target larger accounts that will get us close to our estimated 2008 revenue, with an anticipated margin of 40%.”
